March 16th 2021 is Young Carer's Action Day!
The theme this year is: 'Protect Young Carers' Futures'
Young Carers Action Day is an annual event organised by Carers Trust. You can learn more by clicking here to visit their official website.
Everyday, thousands of young people across the UK help to look after someone who is ill, frail, disabled, or has a mental health condition or addiction. The aim of this event is to raise awareness of young carers and the incredible contribution they make to their families and local communities.
We welcome you to join Carers Count and Barnardo's in recognising and celebrating young carers' skills in Kirklees! #YoungCarersActionDay
"How can I get involved?"
If you are aged 12-25 and have caring responsibilities, we think you will enjoy the virtual session we have planned at 4pm on Tuesday 16th March. Make sure you book your place for the opportunity to meet other young carers in the local area!
- Have some fun while making new friends
- Learn about the the various types of support available to help you with your caring role and your own self-care
- Take part in some meditation to help you relax and de-stress
If you have any questions, please call Carers Count on 0300 012 0231. We will be happy to help!
