New 24 hour mental health support line opened for public

A new free helpline has been launched, offering support to adults experiencing emotional distress on: 0800 183 0558

The service is available now for anyone registered with a GP in Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield and Barnsley. It offers confidential help and support 24 hours a day. The helpline will provide a listening ear, emotional support and guidance to adults with new or existing mental health conditions. It will also provide information, advice and support to carers.

Ex-Men are a peer to peer support group for men over the age of 18 who are managing a long term mental health condition. We offer a safe, friendly and welcoming place for men to share experiences and form friendships. A place where you can unload without prejudice and fear of being judged.

For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service.
