Carers Rights Day 2021

25th November 2021 sees the return of the annual Carers Rights Day.

At Carers Count we understand the many challenges that unpaid carers face, and we are here to help you in any way that we can – every day of the year.

As part of this year’s Carers Rights Day campaign, we're continuing to focus on raising awareness of the rights that unpaid carers have, and ensuring that they have access to all of the services and support that they are entitled to.

Whether you care for a relative, loved one or friend full-time or for a few hours a week, we are here to guide you through your rights as a carer and to help you through the process, whether that’s through local support groups, advocacy, access to mental health services or assistance with benefits claims.

Why is Carers Rights Day so important?

Carers have been one of the groups hit hardest by the pandemic. With many services only now just starting to open back up, the much-needed support lifelines that carers come to rely on were out of reach for many.

This is why it’s vital that we continue to raise awareness of the amazing work that carers undertake day in and day out, and to secure that the support and services they need remain in place – now more than ever.

How can I get involved?

Join the conversation on social media using #CarersRightsDay or why not join us at one of the local group sessions we have running (visit our WhatsOn page) Or book a free slot on our special online webinar on Carers Rights Day where we will be joined by key guest speakers to discuss the What If? Scenario.
